name tags.

Having a feast with couple friend requires couple proper name tags on the table preventing fights where each other will sit. A board game might be handy. Couple Scrabble pieces, a wooden stand, and the nametag is ready.
Príprava hostiny pre pár priateľov vyžaduje poriadne menovky na stole aby každý vedel kde má miesto a zabrání komplikáciam kde bude kto sedieť. Možno sa zíde nejaká tá spoločenská hra. Niekoľko Scrabble písmenok, drevený stojanček a menovka je na svete.

Ho scritto cose senza capo né coda, e nemmeno troppo originali. Ci siamo passate tutte, lo so.

Hello everyone! While I am not really a blogger I do sell a really cool product that I would love for any of you to try out and learn more about. I am a consultant for a company called Scentsy. Scentsy offers a safe and wickless alternative to a candle. They are decorative ceramic warmers that have a lightbulb inside and when turned on will melt any of our 80 fragrant waxes. If you have any questions you can email me through the website.

The one city I would move to in an instant would be LONDON!!

Hello there! I'm Olivia from Olivia.Dee. I write a lifestyle blog that is kind of all over the place... just like me! I'm a 20-something living in San Diego just trying to find my way through this thing called adulthood. Won't you join me in my adventures?

If I could move anywhere in an instant... money not an object... I'd move to Washington D.C. I loved it there!!

I'm Tammy and my little blog is called Lemons, Avocados, & the Bay. I'm a 20-something girl living in America's Finest City (that's San Diego, for those of you who haven't seen the movie Anchorman =P). I can't get enough of the beach, and I love to take photos. My boyfriend make me smile, and I'm lucky to have some incredible family and friends. I love fashion, want to travel the world, work out lots and lots, and my boyfriend and I are working hard on renovating our little beach bungalow.

If I could move to any city in an instant I would move to... well I wouldn't move anywhere. I really truly love living in San Diego. However, I want to travel the world, and then come home to San Diego.

Hi, I'm Becky!  My blog is a work in progress. I love to write and I'm a bit sarcastic ... okay a lot sarcastic.  I'm still trying to find my perfect balance. I hate boring and have always been kind of adamant about being unique.  Reinventing the Ordinary is meant to showcase my quest to be anything but boring ... oh and never wanting to grow up.

The answer to that question is easy.... If I could move to one city right now in a heartbeat.... Santa Barbara. I love, love, love that place.  Of course technically I guess right now I'd like to move down to Newport Beach to be near my new grandson ... now that's a pretty cool choice too!

mr. hall of fame

saturday night my parents and i headed out to UCI's homecoming / alumni night basketball game.  my dad played basketball for UCI in the late 60's and was one of their star players.  every year they have an alumni night where past players are invited to bring their family to the game.  after the game they do pictures with the former and current players and have an alumni reception.  it's always fun to go to any sporting event with my dad, he and i both share a deep love for sports.  but basketball games are always a little more fun, since he was such a stud on the court back in the day.

my dad was inducted into UCI's hall of fame a few years ago for all his achievements during his stay at UCI.  after his college basketball career, he went on to play for the Rockets (they used to be in San Diego) for a season before coming back to coach at UCI for a few years.  i'm so proud of my dad and all his accomplishments.  it's so fun to be able to experience such memorable events with him.

beach day.

This is what we did this last weekend... walked on the beach, lied in the sun, and collected shells the whole day. Just heaven!
Proste raj!

stone love.

I found these recently in one of my drawers. I made the stones years ago and I might get back to it and paint more. I just have to find new inspiration and couple perfect looking pebbles. The search must go on!
Už mi chýba len inšpirácia a perfektné oválne kamienky. A ide sa hľadať!

Ballets Russes.

A.I. Fair. A.I.

friday's fancies: let your love flow

happy friday.  i hope you have had a great week.  my week was a bit of a roller coaster, but thanks to great friends ( esp you tamms! ) i have made it out alive!  and boy am i glad it's friday (& payday! yipee!)  this week for friday's fancies, {av} is hosting an "outfit swap".  i decided to pass on the swap, since i'm a little ocd about my style and how things get posted on my blog.  so instead, i wanted to put together an outfit that I could wear to the SoCal Blogger Meetup.  Something cute that pushed me outside my comfort zone a bit.

I love wide legged jeans, but I have yet to find the perfect pair.  It's always tough to get a good pair of jeans when you've got a badonk like mine.  I love to pair them with a flowy top that cinches to highlight my waist.  Now comes the "out of the comfort zone" part - the necklace.  I've never been one to rock a crazy necklace with any type of outfit.  For some reason, I don't like the way they look on me.  But, I would totally pump up this outfit with a bright statement necklace like this one from Kate Spade.  I think it's pretty amazing.  Add some super cute heels, a fun bag and bring it all together with killer pink lips and I'm ready for the meetup!

wanderlust

and of course ... linking up for fashion friday with kori again!

post title: song title from the bellamy brothers

back in Raleigh.

and back to a construction side right outside our windows. Oh, it's gonna a be a fun year! Well, at least there is progress and development in the town:) Anyways, I spent the best 20 days with my family and friend and I am truly missing each of them. The flight back was very enjoyable as well... I end up with 3 full seats just for myself. Also, I had the best pizza in my life surprisingly on the plane. I don't know what they put inside but my taste buts were very thankful. It was great being back home in Slovakia but now I'm definitely enjoying drowning in our deep comfy couch with a good book and a husband that is pushing me out it:)
Stravila som najlepších... síce krátkých... ale prospešných 20 dní s mojou rodinou a kamarátmi a už teraz mi chýba každý jeden z nich.

the rose hotel

tuesday was my ex boyfriends birthday.  it's weird for me to think that at this time last year i was just starting to accept the fact that he had really moved home and we had really broken up.  this time last year, i had a broken ankle and was just starting school, still in contact with my ex, on a limited basis, just to catch up with what was going on with each other's lives.

we haven't talked in a couple of months.  the last time i spoke with him, he let me know how great he was doing back home in texas, and didn't hold back when it came to telling me his opinion on how much better i should be doing here.  straight forward and honest,  one of the reasons i fell in love with him in the first place.

i haven't thought about him in months.  i have been busy with work, hanging out with friends, meeting new people and trying to find complete happiness with myself.  but when january 24th came, all i could think about was him.  his birthday.  the good times we had, how highly i held him when we were together, all the memories we shared.

i tried not to let it bother me, or interrupt my daily routine.  but tonight when i was driving home and "our song" came on my ipod, i couldn't help but cry.  my eyes just starting watering and before i knew it, tears began running down my face.  as horrinble of a relationship we had, it's weird to think i will always have a special place in my heart for him.  as much as i hate him, i still love him.  even as i'm writing this i'm tearing up.  it's hard for me to truly move on because i feel like we never really had the closure we needed.

so tonight, as i'm laying in bed writing this and listening to "our song," i'm going to remember the good times, and use the bad times as a reminder as to why we are not together, why we don't talk, and why i'm so much happier without him than i would have ever been with him.  as hard as it is to accept this, i know it's what i need to do.  i know it's what needs to happen.  i know i will be better because of it.
